The Mulberry Programs
After-School Program
The after-school program serves children in grades Kindergarten through 5th grade from Ocean View Elementary School only.
This program provides a secure and loving place for your after-schooler along with various academic enrichment opportunities.
Children explore the community around them with our staff as they walk to and from Ocean View Elementary School. The school-age program is open from 6:30am-8:00am and at the release of school until 6:00pm Monday through Friday. Also, we offer full daycare during the holiday breaks and summer. Throughout the day several healthy snacks are provided.
TK/Kindergarten
Our TK/Kindergarten class ensures that children have a strong foundation of basic skills to move onto the local elementary schools. We use the California Kindergarten standards as a baseline of what children need to accomplish before leaving us.
Through a play-based philosophy, we incorporate into the daily curriculum critical educational skills for children to master.
Mulberry Tree uses an emergent curriculum approach which is based on your child’s interest and daily inquiries. This approach is consistent with our view of children as active researchers of their world to construct knowledge on an on-going basis.
Preschool
Mulberry Tree Preschool provides a licensed, secure, and developmentally appropriate environment for children 2 – 5 years of age.
Your child’s curiosity is encouraged and nurtured through exploration and play. With our play-based approach, we provide learning activities that will enhance the development and problem-solving skills of your child.
We provide activities that are intentionally driven to enhance your child’s physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development.
